Biography

Elena Gonzales will earn her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Aerospace Engineering from New Mexico State University Fall of 2022. Elena joined the Los Alamos National Laboratory in 2019 as an undergraduate intern. She began her internship working on the pulse characterization of photomultiplier tubes (PMT). However, her work has recently shifted to reflect her academia and interests. Joining the Automated Drum Retrieval and Storage System (ADReSS) in the summer of 2021, her work has encompassed design engineering through computer aided modeling and finite analysis. Her most recent work has been on the ADReSS Drum Lock Inspection Stand.
