Biography

Muhammet Ayanoglu is post-doctoral research associate at ORNL UFNMD Group. He earned his Ph.D. degree at Penn State University and his M. Sc. degree at Hacettepe University (Turkey) in Nuclear Engineering. His research interests are high burnup spent nuclear fuel behavior in dry storage conditions, fuel design and performance, effects of high dose irradiation on materials and ion irradiation applications. He is an active member of American Nuclear Society, Tau Beta Pi and Alpha Nu Sigma societies. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, volleyball and classical guitar.
