Jacob is a PhD researcher in Chemical Engineering at University of Leeds, specializing in solid-liquid separation of nuclear waste. Sponsored by Sellafield Ltd., his work focuses on polymeric flocculation to aid sedimentation and flotation of radioactive waste suspensions. As the first user of the MULTIForm water-loop facility, he is conducting innovative experiments to tackle challenges in legacy nuclear waste decommissioning. Passionate about advancing safe, economical, and sustainable nuclear waste management, he aims to contribute impactful research to the field, bridging the gap between academia and industry while working toward IChemE chartered status.
