Biography

Eric CANTREL has a Master of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Rennes. He has 24 years of experience in the nuclear industry in the field of radwaste management and D&D. For 14 years, he served in increasing level of responsibility at the Belgian Nuclear Research Center for R&D on hazardous radwaste treatment, decontamination for decommissioning and D&D project management. He joined the CEA in 2012, leading engineering studies for the D&D of the UP1 reprocessing plant. He has been regularly committed to expert missions on behalf of IAEA, OECD/NEA. Since 2020, he is manager of the Laboratory for Simulation and Dismantling Techniques.
