Biography

The master degree of Civil Engineering was received from Saitama University in 1993. I entered the department of Environmental Safety Research, Tokai, Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute (JAERI) in 1993. In 2005, I was assigned to the Nuclear Safety Research Center, Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA). I have been engaged in the research on the safety assessment code system to estimate various uncertainties for the geological disposal of LLW and HLW. I also developed the code to derive the clearance levels, and provided the Nuclear Safety Commission of Japan (NSC) with the estimated results of the clearance levels for uranium-bearing wastes using the code.
