Biography

Mr Xavier Masseau is a professional engineer, specialized in neutronics and nuclear safety (2008). Since then, Mr Xavier Masseau has been conducting safety reviews on decommissioning of French NPPs and research facilities, such as the review of safety assessment reports for PWR decommissioning. As project leader, he performed the review of the strategic plan for the decommissioning of nuclear facilities of the CEA upon request of the regulatory body (ASN). Since 2015, as a senior expert in safety assessment review for the decommissioning of nuclear facilities, Mr Xavier Masseau has been deputy head of the decommissioning safety section at IRSN.
