Biography

Eryk joined Sellafield Ltd. in 2016, after completing a Masters degree in Nuclear Engineering at the University of Birmingham in the UK. He initially worked in a technical role within Legacy Ponds, looking at degradation and long term behaviour of nuclear fuel in storage. In 2020 he joined the Capability Development team, looking after a portfolio of R&D projects ranging from Characterisation to Plant Dismantling. In his current role, as the DWSP Active Demonstrator Lead, Eryk is looking after a pilot facility focused on enhanced characterisation and size reduction of bulky metallic waste items and gathering of relevant learning to inform future strategic decisions.
