Biography

Katlin Hanson is an Environmental Scientist for the Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), a Hanford Site prime contractor to the Department of Energy in Washington state. Katlin has a B.Sc. in Geology and 22 years of environmental consulting experience. Why are 2.35, 2.39, and 2.41 important? These Hanford Site pressure transducer readings from the Automated Water Level Network (AWLN) represent well water levels. Katlin evaluates AWLN data for fluctuations that can cause subsurface contamination to move, pump and treat system optimization, and plume maps. Katlin is also a steward of wetlands near Seattle, enjoys metal detecting and coin collecting.
