Curtin University
David is facility leader for the Geoscience Atom Probe at Curtin University, Australia. He has previously managed atom probe facilities at the U of Sydney and the U of Oxford and has over 10 years of experience in research and technique development in atom probe tomography. The Geoscience Atom Probe facility was established in 2015 to apply atom probe tomography to geoscience research. The facility has conducted ground-breaking studies on minerals including zircon, rutile, olivine, quartz, mica, monazite, pyrite, spinel and feldspar. David’s research interests are in the optimisation of atom probe techniques for geological research, and the development of atom probe data analysis methods, particularly isotope geochemistry applications.
