Biography

Yuichi Onda received a Ph.D. (1990) in Geoscience, University of Tsukuba, Japan. He was Assistant Professor at Nagoya University from 1992-1999, Japan. From 1999-2003, he was Lecturer of Institute of Geoscience, University of Tsukuba, and Associate Professor from 2003-2009, and Professor from 2009. From 2016 onwards, he has been Professor and Head of the Center for Research in Isotopes and Environmental Dynamics, University of Tsukuba. He published more than 100 papers on the environmental effect of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident, including Nature Reviews Earth & Environment (2022) and Nature Sustainability (2022).
