Alkiviadis Gourgiotis is an experienced full-time researcher in Isotope Geochemistry at the Institute of Radioprotection and Nuclear Safety (IRSN). He got his PhD in 2008 in geochemistry (Univ. Pierre et Marie Curie) and his accreditation to supervise research in 2019 (Univ. Paris Saclay). His work focuses on improving knowledge on the behavior of radionuclides and more specifically on using multiple isotope fingerprints to identify sources and transport processes of contaminants in the environment. Isotope geochemistry associated with cutting-edge analytical development constitutes his basic approach to deal with these topics.
