Biography

Florence Gauthier is an engineer. She has been working at the radio protection and nuclear safety institute (IRSN), the French TSO, since 1997. She was safety assessment engineer in charge of interim storages and radioactive effluents and waste treatment facilities during 10 years. Then she was manager of the section in charge of the safety assessment of accelerators, irradiators, plants, laboratories and reactors under decommissioning. Since 2019, she is the head of transport and fuel cycle facilities safety department.
