Bascom Palmer Eye Institute
Dr. Amey Kamdar, MBBS, MHA is currently a research fellow at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. Dr. Kamdar completed his medical schooling in India followed by a Master of Health Administration at Columbia University, during which he was awarded the Foster McGaw Award by the Association of University Programs in Health Administration for excellence in graduate studies. He was inducted into the Delta Omega Honorary Sciety in 2024 and is a recipient of the JN Tata Scholarship, India's most selective scholarship for international education. Dr. Kamdar was an active medical service personnel during the COVID-19 pandemic, during which he invented The Fever Kiosk, a device to screen patients with COVID-19 and also oversaw the public vaccination of over 50,000 Indian citizens.
