Dan Griffin attended Ohio State University where he obtained a bachelor’s of science degree in chemical engineering and is currently a PhD candidate at Georgia Institute of Technology. At Georgia Tech Dan researches crystallization and is jointly advised by Dr. Ronald Rousseau, Dr. Yoshiaki Kawajiri, and Dr. Martha Grover. In particular, his research is aimed at exploring the possibility of using a crystallization-separation process to remove innocuous salts from legacy nuclear waste.
