Biography

Ioannis Tzagkaroulakis is a PhD candidate in Nuclear Engineering at Lancaster University, UK, where he has been since 2013. He holds a diploma in Environmental Engineering and a master’s degree in Civil Engineering. His PhD is concerned with the development of real time, in situ corrosion monitoring for applications in decommissioning and metal decontamination control. He is funded by the UK Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) and from the Lloyd’s Register Foundation (LRF). After obtaining his PhD he is planning to explore the use of his research findings for both nuclear and non-nuclear applications.
