Biography

Chiaki Nagai is working at the Nuclear Waste Technology Department of Obayashi Corporation, a major general contracting company in Japan, where he has worked on projects ranging from contract research to conducting borehole drilling and investigation campaigns for Japanese research organizations and nuclear power plant operators. He is currently finishing his PhD studies at the Hori-Fujimoto laboratory at the Department of Advanced Energy of the University of Tokyo, where he has been researching the applicability of wireless power transfer for use in monitoring technology in the context of radioactive waste geological disposal, the results of which he will be presenting.
