Massimiliano Materazzi is a Research Associate at the Department of Chemical Engineering of University College London. His research focuses on the investigation of the effect of process conditions on gas fluidized beds, with applications across the chemical, nuclear and energy-from-waste sectors. Since 2011, he collaborates with the National Nuclear Laboratories and Sellafield plant in UK to study the hydrodynamic behaviour of TDN fluid bed reactors for UO3 regenaration. The analysis involves fast X-ray imaging and experimental simulations on lab scale units at UCL laboratories.
