Biography

Nick is a Mechanical Engineer with a MEng in Civil/Structural Engineering and a PhD in impact modelling. His doctorate considered the effects of openings in thin walled structures when subjected to blast loading and included collaborations with Pusan National University, South Korea and also the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Following this Nick joined the National Nuclear Laboratory as a Research Technologist, specialising in Impact and Structural modelling. Currently he is conducting annual remnant life structural assessments of heated/cooled pressurised vessels subject to high levels of corrosion.
