Biography

Takahiro Nakanishi is an Assistant Principal at Fukushima Environmental Safety Center of Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA). He received his PhD in Environmental Earth Science from Hokkaido University in 2003. He then worked at the National Institute of Radiological Sciences in Japan and subsequently at Nuclear Science and Engineering Center of JAEA. He has been engaged in the study of environmental radioactivity in mainly the ocean and forest. His current research interests include the assessment of radiocesium transport behavior on the catchment scale in terms of self-cleaning / re-concentration in cleaned areas.
