Biography

Robert J. Geringer is a second-year graduate student in Nuclear, Plasma, and Radiological Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research focuses on deep borehole disposal and fuel cycle issues, including design and logistics for a national or regional deep borehole spent fuel repository. Additionally, he has helped design tools to educate policymakers on nuclear waste issues and the impending consent-based nuclear waste repository siting process.
