Biography

MD. IDRIS ALI, PhD, basically a physicist, is currently working as the Chief Scientific Officer in Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission. With more than 60 publications, his current activities focus on the R&D and expert services on RWM and environmental radioactivity monitoring. As a member of national sub-committee formed for the implementation NPP in Bangladesh, he is involved in formulating the national RWM policy & strategy. He directs several national and regional projects on RWM supported by IAEA and GoB. Graduated in Physics from the University of Dhaka in 1990 he received his PhD from Yamagata University, Japan in 2000.
