Biography

Melissa is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer working within the Defence area at Ansaldo NES. She has a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Liverpool University where she also studied for a Masters Degree in Engineering Applications of Lasers. Melissa joined the nuclear industry in 2007 and has worked with Magnox, Sellafield, EdF, AWE and the MoD. Her main area of expertise is remote handling capability, particularly when coupled with the rigours of the defence industry. In 2015 Melissa was the Chair of the YGN and continues to promote the next generation of nuclear professionals to the wider industry.
