Biography

Alys has worked in the nuclear industry for over 6 years, having graduated with a first class honours degree (MPhys) in Physics with Business and Management. Alys joined Atkins as a graduate and spent 5 years working on a variety of nuclear projects for clients including EDF, Magnox, AWE and Urenco as a safety case author. She joined Abbott Risk Consulting in 2014 and is currently seconded to Capenhurst Nuclear Services Ltd. Alys has volunteered with the UK Nuclear Institute's Young Generation Network (YGN) since 2010 and was elected Vice Chair in 2013. She is YGN chair elect for 2016.
