Biography

Donald Metzler has been the U.S. Department of Energy Federal Project Director for the Moab, Utah, Uranium Mill Tailings Remedial Action (UMTRA) Project since 2003 and has been involved with UMTRA sites throughout the U.S. for almost 28 years. He holds B.S. degrees in Agricultural Science from California Polytechnic State University and in Hydrogeology from San Diego State University. Donald is a registered geologist in the states of California and Arizona and a certified professional hydrogeologist. He has a sustainable vision following remediation of the Moab site for it to be restored to a park-like setting.
