Biography

Erin Moser is a senior at the University of Michigan studying microbiology. She has worked under the guidance of Hope and Brady Lee at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), thanks to the Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI) through the Department of Energy (DOE). Erin participated in research attempting to better understand the biogeochemical cycling of iodine. The long-term goal is to use this information in developing sustainable and appropriate bioremediation strategies for iodine-129, a radioisotope of iodine that is one, of many, contaminants at the Hanford site in Richland, WA.
