Biography

Karen Reed has worked for the Federal Government for 30 years. She did her master’s degree research at Los Alamos National Laboratory, graduated from Colorado State University and began her Federal career at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Washington, DC. She later accepted a position with the Department of Energy (DOE) and moved to St. Louis, Missouri to work on the Weldon Spring Site Remedial Action Project. When the site was nearing closure, she moved to Denver and returned to the EPA. She was a project manager for the Rocky Flats and Rocky Mountain Arsenal
