Biography

Thomas Palmisano serves as VP Decommissioning and CNO at SONGS. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of decommissioning the plant. Prior to assuming his current role, he served as site VP, and VP of Engineering, Projects, and Site Support Services. During his 30-year career, he served as Entergy’s VP Nuclear Oversight, Prairie Island’s, Monticello’s, Cooper’s site VP, and Palisades’ site VP, general Plant Manager, Operations Manager, and systems engineering manager. Tom was an officer in the U.S. Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program. Holds an MBA from Saginaw Valley State University and a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from Ohio Northern University.
