Biography

Terry Pickens is currently the Director of Nuclear Regulatory Policy for Xcel Energy at its headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is responsible for interfacing with government and non-government organizations that enact, implement or influence policies that impact Xcel Energy’s nuclear power plants. In his almost 40 years in the nuclear industry he has worked in engineering, projects, licensing and state and federal government affairs. He is currently a member of the Nuclear Energy Institute’s Integrated Used Nuclear Fuel Working Group, Dry Used Fuel Storage Task Force and Decommissioning Rulemaking Team.
