Biography

Dr. Mertz is currently the Director of R&D for the Adsorption group at Graver Technologies. At Graver, Joshua researches water treatment sorbents for the drinking water, municipal water, and mine water industries. Joshua joined Graver in 2017. Prior to working with Graver, Dr. Mertz worked with Kurion / Veolia Nuclear Solutions on projects including the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. Joshua previously served as a WM Symposia PAC member for Track 4. Dr. Mertz received his Ph.D. from Northwestern University in 2011 and his B.S. from Haverford College in 2006. He lives in Delaware with his wife and four children.
