Biography

Bruce Schappell is the Bechtel Area Project Manager for Direct Feed, Balance of Facilities, and Analytical Laboratory projects at the Waste Treatment Plant at Hanford, WA, having joined WTP in 2014. He has more than 35 years of experience in project management and technical and executive management in the commercial nuclear, environmental, and decommissioning fields. As Area Project Manager, Bruce manages efforts to receive low-activity waste from the tank farms and deliver it to LAW, as well as modify BOF and Lab facilities to accommodate the Direct Feed strategy and complete the associated engineering, construction, start-up, and commissioning activities
