Biography

Dr. Ouzounian is the International Director in Andra from October 2006. He received a PhD in 1978 at the Paris University. He spent 16 years with the Scientific Department in Andra as deputy director. He has prepared and implemented all studies for used nuclear fuel and high-level waste management, including scientific and technical assessment of the different options. He was also in charge of the modelling policy and of its implementation in Andra. Dr Ouzounian is a member of the NEA/OECD/RWMC bureau and of the Waste Technology Committee (WATEC) of the IAEA.
