Biography

Dr Bengt Tegner is currently working as a Post-doc in the DISTINCTIVE Consortium, based at the University of Manchester, UK, where he is involved in a project concerning the interim storage of civil plutonium. Bengt is using computational modelling on high-performance computers to gain insight into this area. Prior to joining this project, Bengt completed a PhD in Theoretical Physics at the University of Edinburgh under the supervision of Prof. Graeme Ackland. Before coming to the UK, Bengt worked as a researcher in Nuclear Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden whilst completing a Masters' degree in Physics.
