Biography

A UK civil servant for 16 years, working in nuclear energy policy for the past 8 years. Worked on the development of UK Government policy regarding the arrangements for financing the waste and decommissioning liabilities of new nuclear power stations. Led the UK Government team scrutinising the Funded Decommissioning Programme for the new power station project at Hinkley Point C. Also led work on the development of the UK’s pricing methodology for the transfer and disposal of higher activity waste from new nuclear power stations. Now head of Decommissioning and Radioactive Waste Policy in the Office for Nuclear Development
