Biography

ERKKI PALONEN graduated in Civil Engineering from the Technical Institute of Turku in 1987. He latter graduated (M.Sc) in Industrial Engineering and Economics from the Technical University of Tampere. Since 2006 he has worked within nuclear projects. He has worked as a Senior Quality Engineer for a French contractor on Nuclear Power Plant construction site. In 2007 he was appointed the Design Manager of Posiva, which aim was at disposal of spent nuclear fuel. His main responsibilities were designing the encapsulation plant and the deep repository for spent nuclear fuel in parallel with design for Underground Research Facility ONKALO. Since 2011 he is holding a position of Senior Vice President
