Biography

Dr Juliet Long CEnv FIEMA is the Chief Strategist for Site Decommissioning and Remediation at the UK’s Nuclear Decommissioning Authority. She has over 25 years experience of working in the UK nuclear industry as an operator (at AWE and UKAEA), a regulator (Environment Agency) and as Head of Radioactive Waste Infrastructure in Government. She is a member of the NEA Committee on Decommissioning and Legacy Management and previously the NEA Radioactive Waste Management Committee & Regulators’ Forum and IAEA Waste Safety Standards Committee. Prior to her industrial career Juliet completed a PhD and post-doctoral research in Geochemistry.
