Nuclear Waste Management Organization
Ben is the Director of Geoscientific Site Evaluations at the Nuclear Waste Management Organization. His team is responsible for assessing the geoscientific suitability of potential host communities in NWMO’s site selection process. He has more than 25 years of multidisciplinary experience in areas related to geo-environmental engineering and radioactive waste management. Prior to joining the NWMO he worked with the Canadian Nuclear safety Commission as a Safety Assessment Specialist and Acting Director of the Waste and Decommissioning Division. Ben has a master’s degree and Ph.D. from Université de Sherbrooke in Quebec. He is also a registered Professional Engineer.
