Biography

David (Dave) Bender joined the U.S Department of Energy in 2008 and serves as Division Director for Infrastructure and Area Completion at the Savannah River Site near Aiken, SC. Prior to joining DOE, Dave served 28 years as an US Army Engineer Colonel, recently as Command Engineer for the US Army Space and Missile Defense Command and as Program Director based in Baghdad for the reconstruction of the Iraqi Electricity infrastructure. Dave has had extensive Army base management as a Director of Public Works in the US and Korea and as an Installation Manager in Germany.
