Biography

Prof. Christophe POINSSOT is the head of the Research Department on Mining and Fuel Recycling Processes in the Nuclear Energy Division, CEA Marcoule. This R&D department (300 permanent staff) supports extensive R&D programs to develop robust and efficient actinides recycling processes (U, Pu & Minor Actinides) for the current and future fuel cycle back-end. This department is also in charge of operating the Atalante nuclear facility. He is also professor in Nuclear Chemistry at the National Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology. He got a PhD in Material Science and is graduated from the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Paris.
