Biography

Research Focus: Hydrometallurgy and solvent extraction applied to the production (primary mining) and recycling (urban mining – processing of used nuclear fuels) of strategic metals (Ge, Ga, In, Nb, Ta, U, PGM’s, Lanthanides, Minor Actinides, etc.); Actinide solution chemistry; Research partnerships with various companies (Eramet Research, Prayon, AREVA, ECO-SYSTEMES, etc.). Author or co-author of 186 open literature publications in solution chemistry, radiochemistry and separation science; 3 patents; 165 talks and poster presentations; 33 doctoral theses supervised or co-supervised (plus 4 in progress).
