Catherine Galy is a geochemist specialized in isotope geochemistry (uranium series, lead, Strontium, Neodymium isotopes). She worked during her PhD on Palmottu uranium ore in Finland, and then moved to climate change subjects for post docs (Amsterdam and Cambridge UK). After working 7 years for biotechnology industry, she came back to geology and environmental issues in March 2014 to become head of Geology and Earth Surfaces at Andra. She is in charge of the Long Term observatory built to establish the reference state of the environment for Cigéo, the French geological repository project.
