Biography

Russell has 15 years’ experience in post-closure safety assessments for radioactive waste disposal. He played a key role in assessment of the proposed Deep Geologic Repository for low- and intermediate-level waste at the Bruce nuclear site. He is supporting FANC in assessment modelling of geological disposal and has supported SoGIN and DSRL in modelling within a near-surface context. In addition to total-systems assessment, Russell has also provided biosphere assessment support to geological disposal programmes on behalf of RWM, Nagra, SSM, Andra and JAEA.
