Biography

Steven “Steve” Baker has over 50 years of work experience in scientific and engineering disciplines focused on technical and policy aspects of high-level nuclear waste management and disposal and environmental cleanup. He has supported the U. S. Department of Energy (DOE) in many roles, including: nuclear engineer on the DOE Project Office staff for the Fast Flux Test Facility at Hanford; manager responsible for groundwater characterization of the Basalt Waste Isolation Project site at Hanford; Environmental Safety and Health (ES&H) manager for high-level nuclear waste tank design of tanks at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory chemical processing plant near Idaho
