Biography

Daniel Metlay has been involved in crafting policies and reviewing activities aimed at developing a deep, geologic repository for high-level radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel for more than 35 years. During that time, he has worked in the Executive Office of the President, the Department of Energy, and the U.S. Nuclear Waste Technical Review Board. He has also spent 12 years teaching at Indiana University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He holds B.S degrees in molecular biology and medieval history from the California Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in political science and public policy
