Biography
Klaus Wieczorek is a geophycist and has been working in the field of repository safety research for 27 years, first at the GSF Institut für Tieflagerung and since 1995 with GRS. He has been project manager of various R&D projects and is head of GRS’ ge-otechnical sector. His main expertise is in field testing in underground laboratories in different types of rock, especially salt and argillaceous formations.
