Biography

Daniela Diaconu, physicist, with a PhD in Condensed State Physics, senior researcher at the Institute for Nuclear Research (RATEN ICN Pitesti), currently the Scientific Deputy Director of the Institute. More than 30 years of experience in the nuclear materials, waste management and, more recently, advanced reactor systems. In radioactive waste management, I carried out activities for site characterization, performance and safety assessment, and I have been involved in promoting public participation in the decisions-making process in Romania.
