Biography

Dr. Hurlbert is a Canada Research Chair in Climate change, energy and sustainability policy. She worked as a lawyer for 18 years, the last several as the Assistant General Counsel for SaskPower prior to becoming a tenured professor at University in 2005. She researches in environment, climate change, energy and sustainability. She is coordinating lead author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change chapter on Risk management and decision making in relation to sustainable development for the Special Report on Land and Climate and a Review Editor of the North America Chapter of WGII in AR6.
