Biography

Marie Gillespie is the project manager for CPCCo’s project to design, fabricate, and test the systems and equipment needed to transfer nearly 2,000 cesium and strontium capsules stored in underwater pool cells to dry storage. Marie has more than 20 years of experience in engineering, nuclear facility operations, and construction and project management. Prior to working at Hanford, Marie worked at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory and for a private environmental engineering firm. Marie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a Biological Engineering concentration from Purdue University, and a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Tennessee.
