Biography

Karen Kniep Blanton joined the Office of STEM Education (OSE) in May 2019 as a Senior STEM Education Consultant. Karen oversees the STEM Ambassadors program and supports OSE's business development efforts, workforce development, and communications initiatives. OSE business development efforts includes working with teams to inform, advise, and develop proposal components and strategies that integrate best practices in diversity, equity, and inclusion and STEM workforce development. Previously, Karen worked in higher education administration and non-profit management, generating over $60M in federal and non-federal grant awards as a grantwriter. Karen has a BS in Agriculture and an MS in Leadership Education.
