Biography

Mr. Van den Dungen got a degree in chemical engineering at the University of Leuven, and joined the Belgian Nuclear Research Center in 2005. He is currently head of the unit of decontamination and clean-up processes, and as such manages a diverse range of projects in this field, including for example PWR metal and concrete decontamination, secondary waste handling, dismantling of tritium or sodium contaminated installations. Today he will inform you about the progress in the dismantling project of a pilot PWR loop installed in SCK•CEN's BR2 material test reactor.
