Biography

An Bielen (PhD in Biological Sciences, 2014) joined SCK CEN in 2015 as a scientific collaborator in the Management of Waste and Liabilities department. Currently, she works in the Dismantling & Decontamination department, focusing on nuclear waste management, radiological characterization for material release or acceptance of radioactive waste into disposal facilities, and uncertainty determination. She contributes to the development of practical methodologies aligned with regulatory criteria and participates in European projects such as EURAD-2 and XS-Ability. Recently, she has taken a leading role in the ANUBIS project and contributes to the LINAC@LNK project.
